Hallandale Beach is celebrating its centennial and its legendary musical heritage with intimate concerts in hidden locations.

As Hallandale Beach prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary, the city is tapping into its rich musical heritage to shape the future of local entertainment. Partnering with Sofar Sounds, the city is hosting a series of monthly live concerts that transform hidden, unconventional spaces into immersive musical sanctuaries. And the next performance is set for this Friday, October 2 at 7pm in a secret, cozy oceanfront setting.
The free, exclusive series is already creating major waves in cities around the country and in South Florida. The inaugural Hallandale Beach event in early September sold out, packing the house to maximum capacity and demonstrating an undeniable demand for intimate live performances. For each Sofar Sounds performance, the exact venue and artist lineup remain top secret until right before showtime, so you have to RSVP or face the FOMO.

The thrill of discovery—whether it's an unexpected venue or a brand-new artist—is something you won't want to miss. Sofar Sounds has a reputation for spotting talent early, having previously hosted stars like Billie Eilish, FINNEAS, Teddy Swims, Hozier and Leon Bridges before their global breakthroughs. Running monthly through February 2027, the Hallandale Beach lineup promises a rich genre mix, including Latin fusion, R&B, indie rock, jazz, strings and contemporary tunes.
This initiative pays homage to Hallandale Beach's storied past. During its early rise in South Florida, the city hosted musical royalty at iconic venues like the historic Palms Nightclub, where legends like James Brown, Sam Cooke, Etta James, Marvin Gaye and Ray Charles once graced the stage. Today, the city is reviving that spirit by building a new platform for future icons.
Admission is complimentary and includes light bites and beverages, but capacity is strictly limited. Advance registration is required to receive event details. Secure your spot for the next secret show by registering at at the Sofar Sound website.
