Fri 24

Expressions #atMDD

The Miami Design District wants to get you talking about art, culture, fashion and all the other things that make this neighborhood so remarkable. This inaugural two-day event comprises a series of workshops and intimate conversations led by industry pros and local influencers. Sessions include chats on female empowerment in the fashion space, workshops on upcycled style and more. RSVP is required but all programming is free to attend and takes place at various venues in the MDD.

Taste of the Yard

Summer is generally slow for food happenings except at the Wynwood Yard. Every Friday through fall, the outdoor market and event space let’s you create a custom tasting experience. Grab a ticket and eat your way through the yard’s food trucks, sampling dishes like tacos, empanadas and more. Arrive at 5pm and take advantage of free admission to the incredible Rubell Family Collection across the street.

Sat 25

Blues on the Rocks

Wynwood has plenty in the way of art, and often you’ll find music, but here’s one of those rare opportunities where the two come together. And the best part? It’s absolutely free. Funky film studio-cum-event-space hosts the totally gratis concert by the Grammy-nominated Mojo Ike and the Blues Experience plus a performance by the Toe Jam All-Stars. South Beach Brewing Company, Walter Grace Vintage and Swing out South Florida partner on the event, so expect cool cars on display and cold suds to go around.

Residente

Grammy-winning artist and the founding member of alt-rap group Calle 13, Residente takes the Wynwood Marketplace stage to perform hits off his recently released self-titled album. 2250 NW Second Ave

Secret Garden Pool Party

You won’t have to trek to South Beach for an epic pool party this weekend. On Saturday, MiMo’s charming Vagabond Hotel opens its stunning, midcentury pool to locals in need of a soak and a beer (Beck’s puts on this sunny soiree). Chill by the bar, stretch out on a lounger and say hello to the pool’s iconic mermaid while listening to DJ-spun tunes.

Sun 26

Crystals and Caftans Full Moon Party at 1 Hotel South Beach

It’s the last full moon of summer and the 1 Hotel South Beach is going all out. The celebration kicks off with happy hour at lobby bar DRIFT, featuring $10 astrology-themed cocktails from 6pm to 8pm. From 7pm to 9pm, move around the property for sound healing practices and free outdoor yoga. Once the sun sets, the party moves to the rooftop where DJ Naim Zarzour provides the soundtrack for an evening of tarot card readings, moon gazing and recharging your crystals and energy. The event is free but RSVP is required.

Full Moon Yoga & Astrological Guidance

Greet the new moon at a Zen yoga sesh atop X Miami in Downtown. The 75-minute practice is led by instructor Jen Bianchini and features shamanic tunes by Chakra Khan. Your post-class winddown includes refreshing Shamanic tonic and astrological readings from Valentina Isis. 230 NE 4th St
