Fri 15

U.S. Soccer Legend Brandi Chastain at PAMM

Meet Olympic gold medalist and two-time World Cup champ Brandi Chastain and tour the PAMM’s well-timed soccer exhibit, “The World’s Game: Fútbol and the Contemporary Art.” Besides mingling with Chastain and browsing the collection artwork, you’ll have a chance to peep the English Premier League trophy, a recent addition to the themed collection.

MOAD MDC Presents, Race and Urban Space: Overcoming Inequality in Miami

The latest installment of this free lecture series takes a deep dive into city planning and the collateral damage associated with new infrastructure. How can architecture mitigate racial inequality in neighborhoods? Is residential racial integration the solution. Neil Hall of Overtown’s Urban Collective, Dr. Moses Shumow of FIU and others help shed some light.

Sat 16

Stonewall Parade and Festival

The proudly LGBTQ Broward neighborhood of Wilton Manors is throwing its annual Stonewall Parade and Festival, a celebration of equality and love to commemorate the historic Stonewall riots of 1969. The parade is an insanely fun affair and takes place along Wilton Drive, which houses some of the area’s best bars and restaurants. From Five Points/NE 26th St to NE 21st Ct in Fort Lauderdale.

Goodie Mob

The OG members of the seminal ’90s hip-hop group come together for a short-lived reunion more than two decades in the making. Catch CeeLo Green, Big Gipp, Khujo and T-Mo perform hits like “Cell Therapy,” “Dirty South” and other tracks off their debut album, 1995’s Soul Food.

I'm Gonna Pray for You So Hard

This two-character play takes place during a drug-fueled evening as a competitive young actress contends with her equally pugnacious playwright father. They project insults, bruise egos and skewer the theater establishment in a scabrous dramedy penned by Halley Feiffer, daughter of celebrated cartoonist Jules Feiffer.

Sun 17

Maroon 5

Blue pill or red pill? This isn’t the Matrix, but if you want to see Adam Levine gyrate to “Moves Like Jagger” in the flesh (and, really, who doesn’t?) you better opt for the latter and snatch a ticket to Maroon 5’s Red Pill Blues Tour.

Father’s Day events

Show Dad some love at these Father's Day events and brunches.
