Miami’s love affair with doughnuts didn’t start with the Salty Donut, but the Wynwood food-truck-turned-doughnut-shop certainly took things to a new level since its opening in late 2016. Folks quickly got obsessed. These days, it’s rare to not encounter a line stretching out the door on any given visit and Salty often sells out of its tastiest options well before closing time.
So, it sort of makes a lot of sense that Salty Donut would open another location. And that’s exactly what they plan on doing. A new Salty Donut will debut in South Miami at 6022 South Dixie Highway (next to the defunct Fox's Sherron Inn) at some point during summer 2018.
Salty part two will be housed in a 1,300-square-foot space and include an outdoor courtyard. All the greatest hits of the Wynwood location will be available along with some new flavors. Parking will no doubt be easier than at the Wynwood location but—when it comes to that line—we can't make any promises.
