This limited-edition cookie has a croqueta in it, and we're here for it

Miamians are literally obsessed with croquetas, so much so that we bake them into things that maybe shouldn’t (or should they?) have a deep-fried ham fritter inside. We didn’t think it could get any more, hm, confusing than last year’s croqueta cake but dessert shop Night Owl Cookies (10534 SW 8th St) and artisanal croqueta purveyor Dos Croquetas up the ante on the strange combination with the 3 “Dough Five:” a chocolate chip cookie stuffed with a chocolate-covered (!) ham croqueta and topped with chocolate chips and sea salt.

The two companies partnered on this limited-edition creation in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 to October 15. It will be sold for $3.75 at the Night Owl store (until supplies last) and available for free delivery on Postmates beginning this Friday, September 27, through Sunday, September 29.

We haven’t tasted the cookie so we can’t, in good conscience, weight in on whether this is the worst thing ever created or the most ingenious dessert. Although, how bad can a chocolate chip cookie be? It’s the weekend, live a little and give it a try.
