Linda and Pablo Gamboa transformed Wine Date, a former expansive shop, into a vino-focused Mediterranean restaurant with more than 700 labels. Pick a bottle from one of the many wine-lined shelves and pay the $10 corkage fee to enjoy your selection with dishes such as dates stuffed with gorgonzola and wrapped in prosciutto, tuna tartare and a decadent dulce de leche soufflé. Dining solo? Pull up a seat to the restaurant’s communal table. Weeknights bring happy hour specials (2-for-1 deals on drinks and discounted bites) while weekends are for live music and brunch.
