In the whirlwind evolution of Miami’s now-famous Wynwood Arts District, the arrival of Casa Tua Cucina marks a decisively upmarket new era. Located at the base of the luxury NoMad Residences Wynwood, this Italian concept with 10 distinct stations spans nearly 20,000 square feet of indoor dining and outdoor terrace space along the neighborhood’s humming Northwest Second Avenue.
It follows in the footsteps of Casa Tua Cucina Brickell, located within Saks Fifth Avenue in the heart of Brickell City Centre. That location welcomes approximately 3,000 guests per day and over a million annually, ranking it among the highest-grossing restaurants per square foot in the country. The Casa Tua brand originated in 2001 as a fine dining restaurant nestled in a historic Miami Beach villa. Home to one of the first private social members' clubs in the United States, it has since expanded to outposts in Aspen and New York, with additional locations in Capri and Los Angeles on the way.
Despite the elite pedigree, Casa Tua and its more relaxed Cucina concept shine precisely because they’re designed to feel like home. Cucina Wynwood does not take reservations, instantly giving it an effortless and welcoming air. Though it’s designed in the vein of a food hall, the full experience is seamless, from the host who seats you at your table to the server from whom you can order fresh pasta, pizza, sushi, wood-fired meats or selections from any of the other stations. Dishes and drinks arrive speedily, though you'll never feel rushed.
The food is solid—no one is reinventing the wheel here. Instead, simple, classic dishes shine with the highest-quality ingredients and heartfelt preparation. Pasta is made daily by hand and prepared to order. Sustainably sourced fish is served as nigiri, sashimi, specialty rolls and crudos. The Italian dolci is house-made, while bread includes more than 10 varieties made with Italian flour and natural yeast, baked daily. The Mercato features premium take-home products, including Casa Tua private-label items like pasta, olive oils, chocolates and coffee (perfect for gifting), plus specialty items sourced from around the world.
Like its Brickell outpost, the scene here is elevated yet laid-back, ideal for stopping in between shopping the neighborhood or meeting for an after-work cocktail. Cucina Wynwood seats 400 guests—and it gets busy—but with plenty of space and a perpetual buzz from 9am to 11pm daily, it also lends itself to groups, families, a drinks date or any occasion, really. Casa Tua Cucina lives up to the hype, and somehow already fits right into its grown-up Wynwood digs.
