MiMo hot spot Phuc Yea is joining forces with home pop-ups Peacock Ramen and OORI Bake Shop for a delicious, one-day event. Pho vs. Ramen pits the popular Asian soups as part of a three-course meal intended to highlight the talents of all involved.
Phuc Yea’s Cesar Zapata will be serving the restaurant’s signature pho while chef Harold Ruiz of Peacock dishes out his concept’s namesake dish. OORI’s chef Helen Kimchi, known for her amazing sourdough creations, will be baking up all kinds of tasty desserts. Phuc Yea’s co-owner, Aniece Meinhold, will be lending her cocktail expertise with special drink pairings for each course.
Don’t be concerned with picking a winner: the friendly throwdown aims to celebrate the merits of each soul-warming soup and the chefs behind them. Tickets are available now for $54 per person (inclusive of tax and tip) plus $30 for a drink a pairing—and they’re going fast.
