Sapore Di Mare is about as close as you can get to the Amalfi Coast without a passport. It’s small, noisy and everyone’s sort of scurrying around all the time, handing off plates of fresh pasta, pouring vino and rearranging tables to squeeze in last-minute parties. Did we mention it’s small, and the reservations a must? Controlled chaos is part of its charm—the reason you feel you’re dining in a quaint, family-run trattoria somewhere along the Med instead of a busy main road in Coconut Grove—and make no mistake, owners run a tight ship. As its name suggests, Sapore’s focus is on seafood, featuring standouts such as fried calamari and branzino carpaccio, but veggie-based dishes and cheesy pastas abound.
