Time Out says

Weekend plans: get lei’d. On Saturday, head to Time Out Market Miami, where everyone will be doing it in honor of Lei Day—an actual holiday dedicated to all things Hawaiian leis.

Kiddos will have the opportunity to make their own (for free!) with help from local floral artist Danielle of Oli Flor. Getting lei’d will be much easier for the grownups who can purchase authentic orchid leis and score a free tiki cocktail for planning ahead and registering in advance. What’s in said cocktail, you ask? The Hawaii de Vacaciones mixes Havana Club and Pyrat rums for a deceptively boozy drink that’ll be available in single tiki mugs or in punch bowls for sharing.

Hapa Kitchen & Eatery, the Market’s Hawaii-inspired spot, will be doling out its signature poké and plates for a taste of the Pacific islands all day long. The party goes for a while but you’ll want to time your arrival: a full-on hula dancing show is going down at 5pm. DJ Juan Mejia takes over at 6:30pm so you can continue to rock out with your lei out.
