Art + Soul returns to Pérez Art Museum Miami for its 13th year, supporting the PAMM Fund for Black Art. This year's honoree is Fab 5 Freddy. A pioneering figure in hip-hop and contemporary art, Freddy was the original host of Yo! MTV Raps and a key force in bringing graffiti and street culture into galleries and museums. The evening includes cocktails, a seated dinner by Chef Raheem Sealy, a program hosted by Neki Mohan, and a late-night celebration with music and dancing along Biscayne Bay. Tickets for the dinner start at $2,500, while access to the late night celebration begins at $200.
If the celebration isn’t in the cards, catch Fab 5 Freddy in conversation with PAMM Director Franklin Sirmans the night before at PAMM. The February 6 talk looks at his creative path—from graffiti and early hip-hop to film, television, and his upcoming memoir Everybody’s Fly. It’s free with museum admission and will also stream online.
