Regarded by many as the greatest Spanish composer of the 20th century, Manuel de Falla brought the sounds of his homeland—especially Andalusian flamenco—to the stage. This weekend, Carlos Miguel Prieto returns to New World Center to lead an extraordinary celebration of the late composer's ballet music. Expect a fiery performance and sensual dances of love, jealousy and deception. Joining New World Symphony Fellows in this intoxicating show are dancers from Isaac Tovar Compañia Flamenca—in costumes created by César Piña—and sought-after flamenco vocalists Catalina Cuervo and Esperanza Fernández.
