In the 50 years since the original Woodstock landed in rural New York and became a cultural capstone of 1960s free-loving American youth, many have attempted to recapture its magic. This weekend, Coconut Grove pays homage to the festival’s legacy with its own communal gathering at Peacock Park. Featuring bites from some of the neighborhood’s best restaurants, a market of artisan vendors and two ‘60s tribute sets of Woodstock classics by local songstress Shira Lee, this family-friendly outdoor block party promises all the free-spirited fun of the real Woodstock, minus the horrible traffic.
