What will the weather be on Christmas 2025 in Montreal?
Together, these conditions promise a classic Canadian winter across much of the province.
Will winter 2025 be cold in Montreal?
It’s definitely good news for skiers, winter hikers and snow-lovers. But it also means below normal temperatures.
An active storm track is expected to bring near- or above-normal precipitation and snowfall across much of the province.
Following a sudden shift to early winter conditions in November, the cold start to the season will persist through December, with more wintry weather leading up to and during the holidays than Montreal has seen in recent years.
Temperatures are forecast to remain below average well into January, though the pattern may become more variable in the latter half of winter, allowing for a possible stretch of milder weather.
While the storm track will continue to deliver near- or above-normal precipitation and snow, southern regions could face a few tricky storms, with risks of ice and occasional rain, particularly during the second half of the season.
