From souk stalls to designer boutiques embracing slow fashion, Marrakech is bursting with colour and creativity, a city where traditional craftsmanship isn’t just embraced – it’s treasured.

True, Marrakesh’s Medina can be overwhelming; a bewildering labyrinth of souk stands piled high with spices, leather, jewellery, ceramics, scarves, cushions, poufs, brassware, and everything else. But if you’re not up for the haggling? Some of the best fixed-price boutiques in the Medina are on Rue Sidi Abdelaziz, Rue Mouassine, and Rue Amsafah. On this guide you’ll find concept stores, home decor, and more – read on for the best places to shop in Marrakech.

1. Ourika The Label

Shopping for: accessories

Having stocked her products in the boutique hotel El Fenn for two years, Ourika The Label’s French owner, Charlotte, opened her first store in the Medina in 2025. Inspired by Morocco’s rich colours and symbolic motifs, the brand respects traditional craftsmanship, human values, and production transparency. Watch their Instagram for behind-the-scenes embroidery work at the women’s cooperative and the matching of fabrics for clutch bags, made mainly from rugs woven in Morocco’s Atlas villages, with cut-offs being used for their best-selling Akhnif wool slipper sandals. Each piece tells a story and is 100% Moroccan-crafted. The rug clogs, with wool lining, and the Navajo clutch bags, with suede trimming, make lovely gifts and great wardrobe additions.

Address: 80 Rue Amsafah, Medina

Opening hours: Open daily, from 10am-7pm

2. By Faissal

Shopping for: scarves and textiles

Quality cotton, wool, linen, hand-woven scarves and textiles in an array of colours, from bold and bright stripes to muted tones, can be found at By Faissal. Three generations of traditional weaving skills are distilled into their products, which are soft and made with care, using natural dyes such as henna. There are two stores in the Medina, one on Rue Mouassine, next door to Le Jardin Secret, and one on Souk ahl Fes, near Ben Youssef Medersa. A traditional loom is set up in the store, and staff are on hand to answer any questions you have on their weaving process. Prices are higher than those for scarves in the souks, but you can feel the difference.
