In Nashville, more than 72% of students live in poverty, making them at an even greater risk of dropping out. We work to eliminate the barriers these students face by positioning a dedicated staff member, known as a site coordinator, inside our partner schools to identify students at-risk of poor academic success and/or dropping out. Whether we’re providing food, school supplies, counseling, academic assistance or a positive role model, our students are always our top priority. In order to continue making an impact for many of our city’s most vulnerable kids, we need YOUR help.
The Nashville Push Up Challenge is a unique push up competition that is competitive, fun and engaging. Participants have an opportunity to achieve success, improve their fitness level and have fun. Not a push up expert? That's OK! The Nashville Push Up Challenge features TWO divisions (Adult Open and School Division), so there's something for everyone. So how does it work?Teams of six people compete to complete as many push ups as possible in 30 minutes (School Division is 20 minutes). Teams raise money for push ups (i.e. $1 for every push up) and exciting prizes will be awarded to the team's with the most push ups completed and the most money raised!
