Dorian Woodruff: Cabaret At The Workshop says
"A love song can stamp that moment in time for us. I Believe in Love is a journey of how we have loved, fallen in love, fallen out of love and no matter what else...cherished that love."
-Dorian Woodruff (Directed by Lina Koutrakos and with Music Direction by Rick Jensen)

Vocalist Dorian Woodruff returns to Cabaret at the Workshop Thursday, July 21 at 7pm in the Jazz Cave at the Nashville Jazz Workshop.

The Cabaret at the Workshop series made its debut in the summer of 2015 as the Jazz Workshop's newest offering, a performance series showcasing the art of cabaret and drawing on the Workshop's rich vocal offerings devoted to the American Popular Song.

Having received the 2016 MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs) Award Nominee for Best Male Vocalist, Dorian Woodruff is a versatile cabaret and jazz singer, director, writer and vocal coach. He has treaded the boards from the East to West Coasts, with stops in Las Vegas, Dallas, Nashville and New Orleans. He has also been fortunate to perform for audiences in London, Paris, Berlin and even Rio de Janeiro.

Dorian has delighted audiences with his charm, some questionable humor, and an engaging stage presence. He is an intimate performer who thrives on ballads, can swing any tune, and is a dedicated follower of the American Songbook.

Here is what some of the biggest names in music have had said about Dorian:

“I didn't expect to have quite the degree of ‘fullness’ I felt during the performance. When I say ‘fullness’ I mean filled with warmth and caring and …he had a note of wistfulness. Dorian didn't leave an emotional step unturned. He held my attention though every quiet move he made. He had my heart throughout.” – Bobbi Horowitz, NYC Icon and Songwriter

“Dorian was born to sing.” – Paul Rolnick, Composer

“You and I are lucky to have songs so well served by Messrs. Woodruff and Jensen….mainly serving caviar.” – Rob Lester, Cabaret Scenes

The performance will begin at 7pm in the Jazz Cave at the Workshop.

Tickets will go on sale Monday, July 11 at 10:00 am, and are $25 ($15 for high school and college students). Advance purchase is strongly recommended. Tickets will be available online from Brown Paper Tickets, by phone 24/7 at 800-838-3006, or 615-242-5299 during business hours. Ticket sales are final.
