Susan Alcorn is one of the greatest musicians in the world. She plays a varied and challenging repertoire outside the vernacular of an instrument that we hear all of the time played beautifully and masterfully in the context of country music, Western swing and more. In addition to mastering the pedal steel vernacular in hours-long sets played in Texas honkytonks, Susan Alcorn also plays Astor Piazolla, transcribes Olivier Messiaen for pedal steel, freely improvises and does things that seem impossible.
Susan's music is real and it is only getting better.
