ABOUT HEY WANDERER:
We are Savannah and Casey and we are two friends striving to make a difference in the world. By combining our love for stylish, functional and comfortable clothing and our desire to help the underprivileged. We created a brand and named it Hey Wanderer. We met almost four years ago and have been creating together ever since. Our first official endeavor was starting a blog in December 2012. This past fall we started a new adventure- making handmade clothing in an ethical way.
The Hey Wanderer brand is designed with you and your life in mind. Each piece is created to be functional throughout your day, stylish enough to wear out at night, and comfortable enough to sleep in. Put simply, we make clothes for you to live in. Every piece is designed by us in
Nashville, TN.
Our brand's purpose is to create beautiful clothing and to promote conscious consumerism and giving back. We aim to eventually hire local, underprivileged women and refugees to help ethically make our clothes. We hope that the growth of our brand can provide education and jobs for others along the way, and develop a need for a factory, right here in Nashville. We currently give 10% of our sales to an orphanage in Haiti.
We have found that our clothing is desirable by women of all ages, shapes, and sizes and from all backgrounds. The first piece of clothing we ever made was a kimono, and a kimono remains the inspiration for how we design all of our clothing. Women are drawn to the fluid drape and the ease and elegance that a kimono brings to a look. We now make pants, dresses, and tops that give the same look and feel.
Through Kickstarter, we hope to raise enough money to have our clothing manufactured in America, so we can have enough product to sell at major music festivals this spring/summer.
