First of all, I'm so honored that you'd take the time to visit this page and read a bit of my story. I will do my best to keep this short and spare you the unnecessary details. We can meet for tea or cupcakes if more of those are desired. Here's the gist of it. I was fortunate enough to live in the great country of Jordan from the Fall of 2011 until August of 2014. While there this past summer, I went to have some things further glanced at due to previous health issues. At the end of June, my doctor had determined that I had a (likely, benign) tumor that was rapidly growing and needed to be surgically removed. Within a week of said surgery I found out that I had an extremely rare form of ovarian cancer (granulosa cell tumor, stage 1c) and just two weeks after that, I had another surgery to remove my right ovary where the tumor was found. Soon after, I was back in America on the hunt for the right doctor and course of action. Fast forward until now, that doctor was found and that course of action was to do four months/six rounds of chemotherapy. I have now completed treatment and am now in the process of daily restoring my body and energy. Yes and yay! It has been a hard journey...one that is far from over in many regards. A huge part of that journey has been financial. I am thankful to those who have gone above and beyond to see to it that I have not felt this burden alone, neither financially or otherwise. Cancer is terrible in every regard. Though, I do believe that going through this has now added to my life's story in ways I would not have fathomed. I would be honored if you to would join me in this story. In the relieving of temporary burdens. In learning how to live and love well each and every day. Thank you again for your time and love. Megan
