We decided to have our SXSW showcase in Nashville at the Stone Fox.
Athens GA's Jacob Morris (MOTHS) is in Nashville recording his new album so we done booked a shoe. He's real deal Athens and should probably have his face on a brochure. I tell people he sounds like Arthur Russell meets Elliott Smith (he IS a cellist). He's been in a zillion bands but you've maybe seen him with Ham1, Vic Chestnut (RIP), Madeline, or Patterson Hood's solo outfit. Check out his bio here: http://www.cloudrecordings.com/jacobmorris.html

LJ Hutchinsuch will be accompanied by Brian Kotzur on drums (who might do a table plant if things get rowdy). I'm busting out some ancient tunes on the keys no one has ever heard and will likely have some things to say about copyright law and social justice. THERE MAY BE SOME SPECIAL GUESTS SINGING SOME OF THEIR OWN TUNES DURING MY SET. This is the Friday night club lounge singer songwriter set you didn't know you were waiting for. BAD FRIEND will be closing out the night and tearing a hole in the time/space continuum. They recently played Dave Cloud's final show at the Fox (they don't play often really) and if you haven't picked up their last record yet, you're fucking up. Bad tunes: http://badfriendnashville.bandcamp.com/
