Matt Ruby is a standup comedian and the creator of Vooza, a video comic strip about the tech world (aka "The Spinal Tap of startups"). He has been featured on MTV,, The Huffington Post, NY Magazine, Time Out NY ("Joke of the Year" nominee), ComedySmack (Winner of Best Web Short of the Year), Gawker, and lots of other places.

Ruby has also appeared across the country at comedy venues and festivals (including SXSW, Bridgetown, NY Comedy Contest, SF Comedy Contest, Boston Comedy Festival, and the New Orleans Comedy and Arts Festival).

He co-produces Hot Soup, a standup show in NYC. And once a month, Mark Normand and Matt cohost We're All Friends Here, "the comedy chat show with boundary issues" that's also a podcast (listen).

Sandpaper Suit is the name of his comedy blog. It was nominated for Best Comedy Website by The ECNY awards.

Writer and comedian Sofiya Alexandra grew up in Odessa, Ukraine, and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 11. She performs standup at venues all over LA, including The Comedy Store, UCB, The Improv, and throughout the alt comedy scene. Last year she participated as a writer in the CBS Diversity Showcase, and currently she's writing on Amazon's new series Danger & Eggs. In 2016 she's performing at Limestone, Laughing Skull, Bird City and Crom Comedy Festivals. She was named one of The Fifty Funniest Women on Twitter by Playboy and one of 18 Funny Women You Should Be Following on Twitter by Huffington Post. Her tweets regularly appear on Mandatory, Buzzfeed, Splitsider, Smosh, and HuffPo. She also produces a hit mystery-lineup show called SURPRISE!, which has been featured in LAist, LA Weekly, The Los Angeles Review of Books, OneThingLA, and WeLikeLA.

SPiFFY SQUiRREL is an independent, underground professional weekly alt comedy show featuring touring comedians from all corners of the earth, plus outstanding local regulars who are worth paying attention to. Sundays at 6:30pm at The East Room. Produced and hosted by Nashville's Chad Riden.
