This month’s membership meeting will have a special focus in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. We will have representatives from various non-profit and government agencies that will give insight into the growing problems with mental health for young professionals. Our panelists will include: Colton Mulligan (current NJC Board member), Anna Claire Bowen (current NJC President-Elect), Adam Graham (Mental Health Cooperative), and Kisha Ledlow (TN Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services).

Colton Mulligan has been diagnosed with Type 1 Bipolar Disorder, he will moderate and participate in the discussion as an advocate for greater awareness around mental health issues. Colton and Adam lead a monthly group called share gathering where folks get together to discuss their story and experiences with depression, addiction, anxiety, bipolar disorder and all the other 'awkward to talk about' thoughts that run through your brain.

Adam Graham, LPC-MHSP, MPA, is the Program Manager of Mental Health Cooperative’s Emergency Psychiatric Diversion Services, overseeing three voluntary inpatient crisis units and providing consultation to Davidson County’s Mobile Crisis Response Team. Adam’s passion is to save lives in Tennessee through the prevention and treatment of suicidal crises. To this end, he chairs MHC’s Zero Suicide Initiative Team, is a certified AMSR (Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk) workshop trainer, and is active with the Governor’s Suicide Prevention Advisory Board and Lipscomb University’s Suicide Prevention Advisory Board.

Anna Claire Bowen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist; Clinical Director of a nonprofit mental health agency, Tennessee Voices for Children; adjunct faculty at Lipscomb University in the Marriage and Family Therapy program; and has a small part time private practice where she works with couples dealing with relationship issues. Adam Graham is a Licensed Professional Counselor and works as the program manager of the Emergency Psychiatric Diversion Services at Mental Health Cooperative.

Kisha Ledlow is the Project Director for the Tennessee Healthy Transitions Initiative with the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. The Healthy Transitions Initiative is a statewide program that aims to improve support services for adolescents and young adults with, or at risk of, serious mental health conditions.
