I have always been drawn to everything outdoors, especially animals.

When I was little, I would invent secret lives for the wildlife I observed—dragonflies on undercover spy missions, blue jays setting up house for the first time, and snails heading out on the adventure of a lifetime. This fascination has developed into a deep respect for the natural sciences and a desire to bring attention to the creatures that we share the world with in a lighthearted way. My paintings are playful reminders that we all have unique experiences and histories, tiny ants and giant giraffes included.

I grew up near the Everglades in South Florida, chasing lizards while being chased by mosquitoes. I earned a BFA in Painting from the University of Florida, and I currently work from my studio in Murfreesboro, TN which I share with my husband Drew and our dog, Maru.

When I’m not painting, you can find me reading, running, camping, digging in the dirt, or eating something spicy.
