The event creator says
April 1st--just in time for National Poetry Month-- Third Man Books and Poetry Sucks! will be throwing a book launch party for TMB's first single-author title THE TRUTH IS WE ARE PERFECT by poet Janaka Stucky. Janaka will be reading along with five other authors. We'll also have music by Harvest Team and EIAFG, booze provided by The Stone Fox, and the party will be at a brand new place... HAIL!

Here's info about the performers...

Janaka Stucky is the author of The Truth Is We Are Perfect and the publisher of Black Ocean as well as the annual poetry journal, Handsome. He is also the author of two chapbooks: Your Name Is The Only Freedom and The World Will Deny It For You. His poems have appeared in such journals as Denver Quarterly, Fence and North American Review, and his articles have been published by The Huffington Post and The Poetry Foundation. He is a two-time National Haiku Champion and in 2010 was voted “Boston’s Best Poet” in the Boston Phoenix.

Daniel Pujol makes music recordings, tours, and writes poetry. He graduated from MTSU in 2008 and finished his Masters in Global Affairs at the University of Denver in 2012. Daniel currently resides in Nashville, TN.pujoldotcom.com

HARVEST TEAM: From the mind of RCB, a key figure in the young Nashville experimental music scene, comes an oozing and pulsing noise that brings to mind industrial music in its purest, nascent form.

Laura Birdsall is from Los Angeles, California. She is about to finish her MFA in fiction at Vanderbilt. She teaches a creative writing class on Death Row. She also volunteers at the Contributor, a copy of which she urges you to buy from your friendly local vendor.

Lee Conell's fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in Guernica, Crazyhorse, Glimmer Train, Five Chapters, and elsewhere. She's currently a creative writing MFA candidate at Vanderbilt University.

DJ Dolack is the author of Whittling a New Face in the Dark (Black Ocean, 2013), as well as the chapbooks No Ser. No (Greying Ghost) and 12 Poems (Eye For An Iris Press). His video reviews and Tourist Trap, NYC series can be found at Coldfront Magazine. He teaches writing at Baruch College and lives in Jackson Heights, Queens.

EQUALITYISAFALSEGOD (EIAFG) is one of the strongest new voices in the Nashville sonic underground. Ready yourself for a journey from the light and back again. This is music that challenges what society can accept, and asks what society could be. Many play with form, EIAFG plays with content.

S. Whitney Holmes is the author of Room Where I Get What I Want (Black Ocean, 2015) and of the chapbook Method of Loci (dancing girl press, 2013). She acts as executive director for the feminist press Switchback Books and is also an editor for The Offending Adam. She was born and raised in West Virginia, earned her M.F.A. from the University of Alabama, and currently lives in Brooklyn, N.Y. Her poems have appeared in Gulf Coast, Poetry Northwest, Barrelhouse, and others.
