Next Saturday, April 18th marks the return of Record Store Day and The Groove is very excited to announce what we have in store this year!
We will be opening our doors at 10AM sharp to an abundance of exclusive RSD titles (a full list of official RSD releases can be viewed here). Please note that – in an effort to be fair to all customers – all RSD releases will be first-come, first-served (no holds) and all RSD releases are limited to 1 copy of any given title per customer. As in years past, many of these titles are extremely limited and this policy helps ensure that other customers are also able to receive the titles they want most.
We’ll also have a store-wide sale going all day long — offering 15% off all merchandise, new and used! Please note that this sale excludes RSD releases, consignment items and items already on sale. In addition, we’ll have plenty of sale records and CDs outside for your digging pleasure!
Mas Tacos will be on site with everyone’s favorite taco truck, plus The Gambling Stick will be offering up BBQ… we’ll also have plenty of tasty local brews (21+) provided by Blackstone, Black Abbey, Little Harpeth and Jackalope brewing companies!!
We have a full afternoon of live music planned for our backyard stage, including performances from Adia Victoria, The Plastic Bags, Idle Bloom, King Bitch, Jawws, Supermelt, Stone Jack Jones and Mystery Twins! Plus, DJ sets from DJ Mojo of the “Spoonful Show” on WVOL-AM, Angie Dorin of “Cat Beast Party” on WRFN-FM and Pete Wilson of “Nashville Jumps” on WXNA-FM. Be sure to keep an eye on our website for more updates – including our full performance schedule (soon to come).
As always, we’ll have plenty of RSD swag, give-aways and raffles throughout the day – including autographed items, vinyl test pressings, concert tickets, prize packs and much more!
There will also be multiple local vendors on site, including screen printing company Hip Hues, who will be printing our limited RSD t-shirts on site!
Later that evening, join us at Rudy’s Seafood and Sausage in Riverside Village for The Groove‘s official Record Store Day after-party!! Starting at 8:30PM, there will be drink specials, more raffles and give-aways, local beers on tap and we’ll be spinning some of the choice RSD titles in their courtyard throughout the night!
