“(Shelly can sing) with a Bonnie Raitt-like edge mixed with a langourour soulfulness appropriate to her Delta upbringing…she has the distinctive, tangy style of an original…engaging appeal.”

--- People

“Soul. Sass. Style. She’s created a distinct style…which simmers with attitude. This is a strong, stylized introduction to a young artist with enormous potential.”

--- American Songwriter

“She’s got chops. (Haggard and Skynard) are appropriate touchstones for an album skirting the virtually bygone line between country and Southern rock, possibly the last genres where you might hear a voice this powerful… .”
