***Relationship-building for Racial Justice***

Do you struggle to talk with other white people in your life about race? At this month's SURJ Faith meeting, we will learn "one-on-one" conversation skills for calling in white people in your congregation or community to the work of racial justice. Relationships are the building blocks of community organizing. You'll learn tips for makes an effective one-to-one about race and get to practice with others. We will especially focus on how one-to-one conversations can expand or strengthen the team of people in your community who you hope to become leaders in anti-racist work.

We'll also hear about upcoming action steps from the local movement for racial justice in Nashville that you can respond to as an individual or congregation.

SURJ Faith is a branch of SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) Nashville's work dedicated to bringing White people of faith and spirit in the Nashville area into movement for racial justice.

We share skills and support each other to get our places of worship moving against white supremacy through education, ritual, and public action. While the focus of SURJ's work is bringing white folks into multi-racial movement for racial justice, people of all racial backgrounds are invited to participate in this work to support our mission in the context of faith and spiritual communities.
