Swing Dancing On The Hill

Time Out says

Saturday night’s jumping and jiving has a new stomping ground, and we are celebrating in style! Music lovers and swing dancers, we have a fabulous night planned for you. Live music by the Gnarly Parkers and a wide open dance floor are the perfect cure for cabin fever, so bring your friends and bring your family, this is going to be a blast! How could this get any better? All proceeds go to support The Cookery. In The Cookery kitchen, head chefs Brett and Terry instill culinary crafts to select homeless individuals in order to prepare them for employment in Nashville’s food industry. Oh and bring a couple extra bucks! Snacks from The Cookery will be on sale, and they are delicious. Wish you knew how to swing dance? Want to brush up? Come to the beginner lesson. It’s included in your ticket! Date: Saturday March 7, 2015 Where: Woodmont Hills Church :3710 Franklin Rd. in the Great Hall (You’ll see lights, signs and balloons showing you where to go.) Beginner lesson: 7:00-8:00 Dancing to the Gnarly Parkers: 8:00-11:00 Cost: $10 or $5 with student ID *CASH ONLY* What to wear: Anything goes! You can come casual in jeans and a t-shirt, or dress it up with twirly skirts and bow ties. The most important thing is that you wear comfortable shoes with as little traction as possible. You want to be able to slide around the dance floor, so your brand new tennis shoes might not be the best option. Volunteers get in free. If you would like to volunteer, send us a private message or email us at nashvilledancing@gmail.com. There are limited spaces for volunteers, so you must register in advance.
