Diane Klein and Davide Di Censo of The Acro Shibari Project will be teaching the acro shibari. Additional rope instruction will be provided by Tyrus.
SATURDAY, Feb. 13

6pm-7pm Acro + Rope Jam/Optional modeling session with NOLA's Shibari Figure Drawing Drink N Draw group
Participants who are interested in modeling for the Shibari Figure Drawing group will have that opportunity, and will receive a drawing as a souvenir of the event.
SUNDAY, Feb. 14
10-11:30am Yoga for Riggers/Bases, Yoga for Flyers/Models
Noon-3pm AcroShibari Session # 2
Each 3-hour session will include 60-90 minutes of rope instruction, including rope handling skills, general background about shibari, and a specific tie. One session would focus on a leg tie of some kind, and the other session would include an arm binder of some kind. The rope instruction would be provided by Davide and me, possibly assisted by Ione Chan, Davide's wife and partner, on Saturday, and by Tyrus both days also.
The specific ties would be selected to coordinate with the second part of each session, a 90 minute acro shibari session teaching a "bound flow" created by The Acro Shibari Project. One session would include a more acrobatic ("solar" in AcroYoga terms) sequence, and the other session would be a more therapeutic (aka "lunar") sequence.

Participants may register for one or both sessions.
The first 7 couples who register will receive the special promotional price of $180 for the couple.
Preregistration prices are $60 for one day (either day), $100 per person for the full weekend, $190 per couple.
Regular prices are $75 for one day (either day), $125 for the full weekend, $200 per couple for the full weekend.

Rope for use in class would be provided by The Acro Shibari Project, although participants may use their own shibari rope if they have it, and rope will also be available for sale.
Registration is limited to 32 (16 couples, although individuals may also register). At the time of registration, individual participants need to identify themselves as bases/"riggers" (who tie), or flyers/"models" (who are tied), for each session. Participants may take different roles in different session, but are asked to be in one role per session.
Note that If the minimum enrollment is not reached by 2 weeks before the first day of the event, the event will be canceled and the participants who have already paid will be refunded.
