Gallery of the Streets says
The Visual Opera is finally here! Will you join us Aug 28th-30th?

Don't forget to RSVP: http://galleryofthestreets.org/contact/

ECOHYBRIDITY is free and open to the public.

ECOHYBRIDITY is a collaboration of New Orleans-based Black feminist artists, scholars, activists, and organizers--many of whom survived Hurricane Katrina. The visual opera marks
the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina as told from a Black feminist voice. ECOHYBRIDITY explores spatial, economic, and ecological inequities, state and interpersonal violence and the
privatization of public resources and services in post-Katrina New Orleans.

A large-scale conceptual work featuring site-specific installations and roving performances, the plot follows a group of nomadic “SONGBIRDS” as they journey to recover, reclaim, and (re)create home. With the city as its stage, ECOHYBRIDITY will be free and open to the public from August
28-August 30, 2015 and exhibited in accessible public and private locations.
