Dr. Seuss movies guarantee an entertaining night in with the family, and that's truer than true
Dr. Seuss movies prove that "From there to here, and here to there, funny things are everywhere!"
The children's author and illustrator (whose real name is Theodor Seuss Geisel) has enchanted generations and garnered recognition for some of the best children's books and best kids' movies out there. Thanks to his infectious rhymes, extraordinary characters and charming tales, we can't help but encourage a Seussical movie marathon!
From remastered classics to old-school stories, our favorite Dr. Seuss movies include a bit of everything—The Cat in the Hat, The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T, The Lorax, to name a few. In honor of the legend's March 2 birthday, we certainly think a flick or two will make the celebration all the more sweet.
For superfans, there are "Great things you can find if you don't stay behind." One of the best family weekend getaways is a visit to The Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum in Massachusetts.

Perk up those elephant ears and take a listen! Horton discovers the teeny-tiny town of Whoville via specks of dust, although he is only able to hear its residents, not see them. He wants Whovillians to reach safety, but will his friends believe that this microscopic civilization actually exists? Rated G. (Amazon.com, $15)
Ted is swooning over Audrey, and the way to her heart is a Truffula tree. No sweat, right? Well, nature is nonexistent in the town of Thneedville, so winning over the girl of his dreams might not be so simple after all. Will the Lorax, who once reigned over the forest, be able to help the young boy in his quest? Rated PG. (Amazon.com, $14)
It's only right that the beloved Christmas classic gets a modern animated retouch for new generations to love. We welcomed the 2018 holiday season with a taste of the curmudgeonly character's holly jolly antics. Can he truly survive Whoville's Christmas season, or will he and his pup Max continue living a life of isolation? Rated PG. (Amazon.com $20)
Bart knew there was something funky about his piano teacher, Dr. Terwilliker—he just couldn't put his finger on it. When Bart enters an alternate universe, he becomes responsible—oddly enough, alongside his local plumber—for stopping Mr. T from forcing 500 boys to play the piano and hypnotizing his mother.
