From pastel pink pads in Madrid to quirky lofts in Oregon, these rentals will have you feeling like you’re on a classic Anderson set

Full of beaming pastel colours, satisfyingly stylish symmetry and quirky prettiness, the worlds within Wes Anderson’s films are visually delicious. From the twee island of Moonrise Kingdom to the rickety and charming Indian cross-country train of The Darjeeling Limited, Anderson’s sets are very much the sort of places you’d actually like to visit.
Anderson’s new film Asteroid City is out in a week or so (read our review here) and, to celebrate, Airbnb has put together a list of rentals that perfectly fit his aesthetic. In other words, you can essentially stay in your very own Wes Anderson-esque set-piece. Tremendously exciting stuff, we know.
The rentals in Airbnb’s selection range from retro caravans in New Zealand and isolated islands in Norway to a delightfully gauche pad in Madrid. They’re all, as you’d expect, extremely colourful, kitsch abodes. Here are our faves – plus, of course, links in case you fancy booking one for yourself.
If you’d like to find out more, you can view the full set of Wes Anderson-y Airbnbs here. Then check out this bar in Milan, which was designed by Anderson himself.
Did you see that we took the new sleeper train to Berlin? Here’s what it was like.
