To find out, an analysis by international shopping platform Ubuy has looked at popular parks in Europe and revealed the best European capital city to have a picnic this summer, according to a number of factors including park ratings on TripAdvisor and Google, location hashtags on Instagram and hashtag views on Tiktok.
And the winner is... London! The UK’s busy capital topped the charts for being the best city in Europe for a picnic, thanks to its many massive parks like St James’ Park, Regent’s Park and Hyde Park. Parks in London have accumulated 400 million hashtag views and posts, according to the report.
Coming in second in the ranking was Berlin, which is known for its many historical parks like Treptower Park, Tempelhofer and the Mauerpark. Third was Budapest, with its highest-ranking parks being the picturesque Margaret Island, Varasliget and Millenaris.
