Board games are still having a moment in NYC. Last year, mahjong tiles and chess boards dominated tables around the city (and even at a few bars and restaurants), while gaming halls dedicated to D&D saw renewed interest. It seems the trend is carrying on, as evidenced by the opening of New York's first-ever luxury cafe just this month. But if you happened to miss out on cultivating your gaming crew last year, we invite you to come pick up a checker at Time Out Market.
On February 17, NYC Backgammon Club, the social club of backgammon enthusiasts, is bringing game night to Time Out Market Union Square. Seasoned pros? Feel free to bring your board and go head-to-head against fellow gamers. Still starting out? No worries, the invite is open to players of all levels. So roll the dice and game on!
Tickets are $10 per person, and registration is required to attend. Guests must purchase at least one food item or two drinks. The market has non-alcoholic options available. Register here.
