At the Polka gallery, photographer Claude Nori explores Italy through its geographical and cultural traces, from 1960s cinema to seaside resorts to the stories of Italo Calvino. The project takes its name from Calvino’s 1958 story ‘The Adventure of a Photographer’. Blending fiction and memoir, it chronicles a series of trips that Nori made throughout the country between 1980 and 1990, taking us on a wistful, bittersweet tour of Naples, Rimini, Portofino and Stromboli.
