Founded in 2009 when the global economic crisis was hitting the art market, the ‘affordable art fair’ is all about friendliness and accessibility. Buyers and artists can communicate directly around the 400 or so works on show, priced from €50 to €500. So starter buyers can test the waters with an intense photograph by Emilie Merpillat or a busy collage by Hélène Jacob, a ceramic nose by Anne Millot or a naïf drawing by Zhang Xuewei. Buyer or browser, all tastes (and budgets) are catered for.
