When? January 6-February 17 2016
What? A city-wide festival celebrating the art of poster design.
Where? Across Paris

Sometimes labelled a ‘museum city’ by its detractors, Paris will be celebrating the start of a new year with a funky six week makeover (from January 6-February 17) as part of the third edition of the Fête du Graphisme. Inviting forty or so cutting-edge poster designers to showcase their latest creations in various public spaces – from the Hôtel de Ville to the Cité Internationale des Arts – the festival this year aims to celebrate the brilliance of Parisian urban life, while also tackling social, political and environmental issues. The main attraction will be special open-air and indoor exhibits, as well as conferences, film showings and talks. The festival will also be taking over advertising space in the 1,600 bus shelters owned by event partners JC Decaux, replacing the usual commercial ads with the featured artists’ designs.
