Time Out says

In the middle of a Montparnasse cobblestoned alley is Villa Vassilieff, the former workshop of Maria Vassilieff which, until 2013, housed the Montparnasse museum. Walking through this simple space, with its exposed beams and pretty spiral staircase, you can discover all the intricate details of an open house – bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen and living room. Each room houses the work of thirty rotating guest artists, which have included Marc Vaux, Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso in the past. There is also often a rotating mixed media exhibition programme. Harnessing and presenting the abundant, rich history of the area, Villa Vassilieff is undoubtedly one to watch in the Parisian art scene.
