Time Out says

4 out of 5 stars

Staged for the first time in May 2012 at the Kunstenfestivaldesarts in Brussels, Disabled Theatre is the brainchild of the Theater Hora in Zurich. Founded in 1993, the company’s aim is the artistic development of people with intellectual disabilities. It features a troupe of professional actors aged between 19 and 50, directed by choreographer Jérôme Bel. During the performance, the actors speak about themselves, about disability and the opinions of others, and about their vision of the world. They laugh, cry and dance in a series of set pieces that are both touching and difficult to watch. By turns daring and beautiful, no one will leave this performance unmoved.
