What are five men stuck together in one room capable of? From this suggestive question, Korean choreographer Hyoseung Ye unfurls a striking dance that holds aloft its 'contemporary' credentials while keeping a sense of humour. In a performance as high-concept as it is pared down, the male body is the basic building block – albeit a grotesque, at times fragile one. As the five dancers, clad only in t-shirts and boxers, twist and twirl their way across the stage of the Carreau du Temple, we're made keenly aware of their raw abstract sensuality. They're capable of showing off a whole lot of bum, that's for sure.
