Dancer and choreographer Philippe Decouflé (of Albertville’s 1992 Olympic games fame) is going from strength the strength: After creating ‘Désirs’ (from 2009) at Paris’ risqué Crazy Horse and working with Cirque du Soleil in 2011, he has joined forces with rockster and composer Nosfell to create this gem of a contemporary dance performance, ‘Octopus’, which covers the universal themes of love, jealousy and beauty. Decouflé’s series of tableaux show just how versatile, beautiful and fluid the human body can be, while Nosfell’s music intensifies the emotion. If you missed Octopus at the Chaillot last year, this performance at the suburban Théâtre de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines is well worth catching the RER for.
