Political Mother : The Choregrapher’s Cut

Violence and political dissent are the driving forces behind this searingly energetic new work by Hofesh Shechter. The Israeli-British choreographer is no stranger to polemical subject matter, having drawn inspiration from the 2006 Paris riots for his last work 'Uprising'. True to form, he's turned out another freewheeling, rock 'n' roll spectacle in 'Political Mother', composed for 24 musicians and 16 dancers. Not so much a 'cut' as a sucker punch.
