La Nymphe de la Seine

Rivers, sources of inspiration for countless musicians, are at the core of the programme here. Mining the musical metaphor of flowing notes and gliding scales for all its worth, this evening concert at the Cité de la Musique draws disparate pieces from the likes of Vivaldi and Jean-Philippe Rameau together into a shimmering whole.
