Calling your show ‘wunderkammer’ or ‘chamber of wonders’ is bound to raise some expectations. Luckily, this Australian circus company’s superb reputation precedes it. Praised by critics, adored by the public, the troupe from Brisbane is led by the charismatic Yaron Lifschitz, who has revamped the act into the ideal modern mix of acrobatics and eroticism. Seven well-sculpted acrobats segue fearlessly between their electric high-flying numbers and energetic hula-hooping. The live accompanying band mixes 50s rock/pop and 60s Latino tunes, and stunning lighting effects enhance the spectacle, which comes with plenty of humour, all adding up to 80 virtuoso minutes where gravity doesn’t get a look in.
