Time Out says

What should I drink? A €6 happy hour cocktail.

Stepping into Le Fumoir is like stepping into a 1920s colonial universe and a dandy chewing on a cigar, whiskey in hand, would not look out of place here. You can’t miss this cosy hideout as it’s directly opposite the Louvre. Its pleasant terrace is the perfect place to flick through some of the fifteen newspaper titles provided and sip on a cocktail (which are just €6 during the 6-8pm happy hour.)

The decor inside is all parquet and dark woodwork decked out like an English pub. There are board games like chess and backgammon for drinkers and the concise food menu is super original. Think beef with pine nuts, bone marrow, sauteed potatoes and red wine sauce or duck breast sautéed with chanterelle mushrooms, fresh figs and creamed celery. Even when the room is packed, service is quick and efficient.
