Le Christ Inn's Bistrot (ex-Cochon à l'Oreille)

Some old bistros have the setting, others get the food. This little piggy (cochon) does a good job with both: the antique public telephone, the imposing zinc counter and the cosy wooden booths are charming reminders of Les Halles' heyday as the city's celebrated food market - note the tiles that depict scenes of the market in all its chaotic splendour. Food-wise, expect hearty, meaty dishes like stuffed pork on a bed of lentils and confit de canard, best accompanied by one of the 50 wines on the list. Enjoyed your meal?
