This popular tapas bar on the Canal Saint-Martin has a great reputation, though that's no thanks to the slightly expensive, overly oily tapas (€4.50 to €7). Rather, you come to Les Voisins for good red wine, like a Spanish Xérès, with a couple of safe tapas (go for the the bouquerones (marinated anchovies) the Serrano ham or the tortillas) to get you through until dinner. The ambiance isn’t quite that of a rambunctious Spanish drinking den, but the venue is friendly and the service charming, one of the bar’s strongest points. The bar is popular for a pre-gig drink before heading to the Alhambra, just next door.
