For the uninitiated, partying at the Berghain is probably the best fun you can have in a nightclub (on the proviso that you like techno). The Berlin club sits over a couple of floors of a disused power station, holds about 1,500 people, and is notoriously hard to get into.

It also boasts some of the world best techno-spinning residents, of which Marcel Dettmann and Ben Clock (pictured) are two. Dettmann's dark and sinister beats have been pounding through the speakers of the Berghain since it opened, and Clock has put out epic releases on two key electronic labels, BPitch Control and Ostgut Ton, and now heads up his own label Klockworks.
