Taking over the space underneath the Palais de Tokyo formerly occupied by the Cinémathèque française, the YOYO is at first glance a truly snazzy addition to the city's clubbing scene, in the underground rave mold: concrete furnishings, huge bar, Berlin-oriented lineups. Even if this first impression is somewhat undermined by the fact that the venue also used to play host to ultra-rah cocktail 'n' champagne nights – a fact still reflected in the current clientele – it's still worth a visit for the invariably solid programming, which centres on house and techno but branches out into hip hop, funk and electro.

I went there to see Cashmere Cat (7 May 2015) and it was insane. The venue is outstanding with amazing lights effects, a very good sound system and a huge screen to increase the experience. All of the djs (DJ Snow, Joe Kay,Cashmere Cat & The Wooligan) did a really great job and my friends (who were worried before) LOVED the party.
The staff was really friendly and the customers were in a good mood: here to have a good time and not to show off as you could fear in this trendy place.
It was not cheap but the prices seemed fair to me. 5 euros for a soft drink (same as in many dancing bars), 11 euros for a soft + alcohol (9 in some bars) and 3 euros for a bottle of water. We had to pay 20 euros to get in but it's worth it. The experience was very pleasant and we are looking forward to come back soon!
Seeing the Eiffel Tower while leaving the party was priceless. :)
My only advice would be to check the djs and the people who host the party. I assume that they are responsible for some of the bad reviews (prices, rudeness & organization).
